How to review an online lender before applying

A lender page should make it possible to understand both the business behind the product and the agreement you are about to accept.

Check who provides the loan

Look for the business name and contact information in the lender’s own documents. If the consumer-facing brand differs from the legal name, the relationship should be clear.

Check the individual offer

The highest advertised amount may not be available to every applicant. Review the actual amount, term, interest, fees and total repayment before confirming.

Keep a copy of the agreement

Read the document before entering an OTP or completing a digital acceptance step. Save the agreement and repayment schedule so they remain available even if account access changes.

Make sure support is usable

Find out how to ask a question about a payment or incorrect balance. Keep payment receipts and any case or reference numbers.
